I had the privilege of being interviewed by John Miles on his Passion Struck podcast. John started this podcast to help people uncover and live their purpose. He’s been interviewing successful entrepreneurs and business experts to share the keys to success that helped them discover their passion. Success leaves a trail and John is helping share the breadcrumbs for others to follow.

I appreciated the questions John asked because it took me back several years to when I was just starting out my career.

“I remember working in an office and one day realizing, “This my life — this cubicle.” I had taken my first job at age 15, and in college, I was holding down three jobs just to pay bills and tuition. After college, I did what any business student does. Get a job at a stable firm and start climbing the ladder.”

I always wondered if there was more to life than just working in an office and in order to find out, I had to take several steps outside of my comfort zone and do more than the bare minimum that was expected of me at my day job.

Fast forward several years and I run a successful international consulting company, Formula Ink leading training classes and speaking at conferences in front of thousands of people around the world in Shanghai, Singapore, Thailand, India, throughout the U.S. and other locations. I co-founded the Agile Marketing Academy and Personal Agility Institute pioneering the application of Agile outside IT.

My mission is to inspire people to work better and live better. Work better by applying Agile techniques to deliver more value with less effort. Live better by uncovering how to do more of What Really Matters through using Agile applied to your life, Personal Agility.

It wasn’t an easy journey, but it was worth it. To go from sitting at an office desk to speaking in front of thousands took some bold steps. The first thing you need to do is gain clarity on what you really want, then begin taking steady steps forward to achieve that goal. In this interview with John Miles, I share the steps that I took to step into my passion and create my reality today. You too can take bold steps into creating the life you’ve always wanted. Start with gaining clarity and taking the first step.
