Becoming a better public speaker requires you to get in front of people, get more comfortable, and get feedback. When I realized I wanted to become a better public speaker, I joined Toastmasters (a professional speaking organization) for one reason: to practice. Practice is an unavoidable step to becoming a better, more confident speaker. I know there are people out there right now who are doubting themselves, wondering if they can stand in front of an audience. Little by little, I acclimated myself to speaking in front of an audience, and you can too by simply continuing to get up in front of people and practice your speaking. Confidence comes with practice and repetition, but there are other ways to help yourself through the initial shock of speaking in front of people.
